Logo Removal founder Miriam Dym launched a Mending Club. And will soon (next week!) post a very, very simple template on how to start a mending club in your neighborhood. (You can do it without a template.)
The Club meets once a month. Members bring what needs fixing, repairing, soothing, mending and they fix it on the spot. Or they solicit other Members for advice and assistance.
Anyone can come.
So far, so good. We had our inaugural meeting last week. Everyone brought something and everyone, except Miriam who flitted getting everyone settled, got something done.
Up next month:
— we will take pictures of everyone’s project!
— we will look at a very brief presentation on a small assortment of Extreme Mending
— maybe we’ll chat about “why mend” though isn’t it preaching to the choir?
— we will continue to not discuss Mending Broken Hearts, and other personal fixes, which our Club best serves metaphorically…don’t you think?
